Mark Gad

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Mark Gad is a fifth-year PhD candidate at The Rockefeller University, co-mentored by Dr. Kıvanç Birsoy (Rockefeller) and Dr. Richard Hite (MSKCC). His research focuses on understanding the structural and biochemical mechanisms of membrane transporters that regulate cellular metabolism and redox balance. Mark is broadly interested in how insights from fundamental biology can inform therapeutic discovery and translational biotechnology. As Director of Finance for the Tri-I Biotech Club, he enjoys being part of a community that brings together scientists passionate about innovation across disciplines. Outside of research, Mark enjoys swimming as well as playing soccer, and pickleball.
